Let us serve your graduate with our exceptional catering services. Hodel’s serves anywhere from 50 to 4,000 guests. Best of all, we can supply your event with fine china, flatware, stemware, quality disposable ware, or linen per person. Also, we offer plated meals upon request!

Banquet Rooms For Graduation  

We also have five banquet rooms that accommodate anywhere from 20 people to 500 guests. Our banquet halls have everything a graduate needs; our staff is prepared and ready to take on such a momentous celebration. We understand that immediate and extended family members gather to celebrate their graduate too, and that’s why we serve large graduation events with great attention to detail and genuine hospitality. Also, with plenty of people present, we carry many menus to select from to meets everyone’s needs.

Education is in Our Roots

Fun Fact: Bob attended Bakersfield High School. He also served two years in the Army and attended Bakersfield College where he played football for the Renegades. He transferred to UC Davis, graduated with a degree in plant agronomy and moved back to Bakersfield. After he purchased a Foster’s Freeze, he desired to own a successful buffet, and that’s when he opened Hodel’s in 1967. And the rest is history!

A: Yes, for all restaurant guests, we allow walk-in parties as well as table reservations made in advance.

Q: Can Hodel’s accommodate large parties?

A: We cater anywhere from 50 to 4,000 guests. Also, our beautiful banquet rooms accommodate anywhere from 20 people to 500 guests. 

Q: Is Hodel’s wheelchair accessible?

A: Yes.

Q: Where should my guests and I park?

A: Because of the high volume of guests we are used to hosting for graduations, weddings, corporate functions, and much more, we have ample parking.

Q: What if guests arrive late?

A: Hodel’s is sympathetic to unplanned circumstances. If you have made a reservation for our restaurant, and you or your party is late, we will hold the tables for as long as possible. However, restaurant needs may force us to give up the table.
